It’s Monday, the temperature dropped back into the 30’s (after a couple days of 60 degrees), and I owe a bunch of money in taxes but let’s talk about something fun. Deb of Cooking on the Front Burner and Jamie of Love Bakes Good Cakes are celebrating their blogiversary with this collection of awesome treats and a big cash giveaway (scroll down to the bottom for that)!

Julia’s birthday is next month and since we skipped a first birthday party, my head is swirling with ideas for her second. Her birthday actually falls on Easter this year, which puts a little damper on my plans but I’m still excited. Any of these treats would be perfect. Let’s get to it!

  1. OMGoodness–=-Those Simple Dark Chocolate Brownies look wonderful! For Hubz’ and my recent birthdays + Valentine’s Day I made avocado chocolate puddings and peanut butter balls.

  2. My favorite sweet party treat is definitely Aloha Brownies. I got the recipe from one of the little Pillsbury cook booklets they display at the cash register.

  3. I am a simple sweet eater. I would like the Vanilla Cupcakes with Buttercream Frosting any day of the week. Linda Bradshaw , w810forhim at yahoo dot com.
