Simple ingredients – If you’re looking for an easy recipe for a sweet treat any time of year, that even the kids can get involved in, this 5-ingredient slow cooker candy is it.

Delicious recipe – A tasty homemade treat always makes a great gift idea! The combination of salty, sweet, crunchy, nutty, and chocolaty is something that everyone loves.

Equipment you’ll need

  • Slow Cooker – This is the one I use and normally recommend. For this recipe you can use a smaller 4 quart crockpot if necessary.
  • Cookie Scoops – Makes portioning the candies easy. I use a tablespoon cookie scoop for these but use whichever size you like, making more or less depending on size.
  • Baking Sheets – I use a lipped baking sheet so the sprinkles are contained.
  • Sprinkles – HomeGoods and TJ Maxx/Marshalls always have excellent holiday sprinkles options but you can also order them or pick some up at the market or craft store.

Ingredients

Below is a list of the ingredients you’ll need to gather to make this recipe. Scroll all the way down for the full recipe card.

  • White Almond Bark – As much as we refer to this as Easter white chocolate candy, there’s no chocolate in white almond bark (or almonds for that matter lol)! It’s a candy coating that melts beautifully and is supposed to mimic white chocolate. It’s similar to candy wafers.
  • Roasted Peanuts – For the nutty crunch. You can use honey-roasted peanuts if you like, or lightly salted. It’s up to you. You can also swap the type of nut you use.
  • Pastel M&Ms – Keep an eye out and stock up on Easter M&Ms! If you can’t find them at your local grocery store or Target, try bulk candy stores, or even online.
  • Mini Fruit Flavored Marshmallows – They already come in pastel colors so it’s a natural fit for added color, however if you prefer regular mini marshmallows go ahead and make that swap.
  • Easter Sprinkles – For decoration on top. The color of the sprinkles is usually the telltale sign of what the special occasion is. So, switch them up for whatever you’re celebrating.

How to make Easy Slow Cooker Easter Candy

  1. Step One: Add the almond bark and peanuts to the basin of the crockpot. Cook on low heat for 2-3 hours, stirring often.
  2. Step Two: Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, turn off the crockpot and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature (not set completely). Just enough so that it doesn’t melt the M&Ms and marshmallows.
  3. Step Three: Gently stir in the M&Ms and marshmallows until just combined.
  4. Step Four: Scoop about 1 – 1.5 Tablespoons (the size of a medium cookie scoop) of the candy mixture and drop each scoop onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Top the candy with sprinkles and additional M&Ms and let it set. Enjoy!

What to serve with crockpot candy recipe

A couple of my other favorite no-bake treats for Easter are Easter Egg Oreo Truffles and this Easter Bunny Dessert Cheeseball and both would be a great addition to the table along with your Easter crockpot candy this year!

Possible Tips & Suggestions

  • Add pretzel pieces or chow mein noodles for extra crunch and turn them into traditional haystacks.
  • Swap the peanuts for a different nut or mixed nuts. Cashews, pecans, macadamia nuts, almonds, or walnuts would be great.
  • Add a bit of extra flavor and texture by mixing in unsweetened coconut flakes or using white chocolate chips or even butterscotch chips.
  • Finish them with a sprinkle of sea salt for great contrast to the sweetness.
  • To give pieces of Easter slow cooker candy away as gifts or to add to Easter baskets, wrap a few in cellophane and tie it with a pastel-colored Easter ribbon.
  • Scoop them into cupcake wrappers for easy serving.

How to store leftovers

Store these in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks, even longer in the fridge!

How long will Easter crockpot candy last in the fridge?

They’ll keep fresh for a few weeks, however, the longer they stay cold, the harder they’ll be to bite into. When you’re ready to serve them, bring them to room temperature a little while before.

Can I freeze it?

This type of no-bake candy will keep fresh and frozen for up to 2 months. Once they have set completely transfer them to a freezer-safe container or freezer bag and layer them with parchment paper so they don’t stick together. Thaw at room temperature to enjoy again.

FAQs

Do I have to make these in the slow cooker?

You don’t! If you’re short on time you can use the stovetop or the microwave instead.

Stovetop Instructions

Melt candy bark in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently until melted. Remove it from the heat and stir in the peanuts. Continue with the recipe as written.

Microwave Instructions

In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt candy bark for 30-second increments, stirring in between each, until smooth. Once fully melted, stir in the peanuts, making sure they’re evenly coated. Then, continue with the recipe as written.

Can I double the recipe?

You can! This recipe is meant for at least a 4-quart crockpot, so if you want to double or triple it, I suggest using at least a 6-quart basin.

Where can I find white almond bark?

Also known as vanilla almond bark, this can be found in the baking section of places like Walmart or Target.
