Though I started Persnickety Plates nearly three years ago, I honestly didn’t really think or care about other people reading it until this past year. It was a tool for me to keep successful recipes organized and that was it. A crappy cell phone picture and “Delicious” or I’d eat it again” was all I put into a post.
I didn’t care much about content, pictures or followers. I didn’t know what a link-up or swap was. I didn’t care about connecting with people via Facebook and Twitter.
Now, I care.
I didn’t realize what a great community blogging is. You teach me things, share your stories and make me want to eat and buy all the things. You’ve listened while I whined and offered kind words when I needed them. I bake for you & show you my nail polish. I call you my internet friends. I’m glad that we met.
I don’t like to look like a slacker to my friends, real life or otherwise, so I want my blog to be better. I want to take better pictures, write better posts and share a little of my life, inside and out of the kitchen, with you. So, that’s my plan.
I changed my header and button (again). This time I included Black Beauty since she’s my favorite and an important part of this blog. I think I’ll keep it for awhile. Now I have to work on making my Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest match.
I leave you with my headers over the years. At least my color palette is consistent.
Love it! It looks so good 🙂
