STEP 1

auté the mushrooms in a large saucepan with melted butter over medium heat. Then season with salt. 

STEP 2

Add in the flour and cook, stirring frequently, for another 5 minutes. While briskly stirring, add 1 cup of beef broth.

STEP 3

Once incorporated, add in the remaining stock and stir until fully combined and season with black pepper and thyme.

STEP 4

Reduce the heat to  medium-low and simmer until thickened, stirring frequently, for about 20 mins.

Use this as your go-to gravy whenever you make a meaty entre or a vegetable side dish!
