Crockpot Irish Guinness Beef Stew

Kids and adults both love this beef stew recipe. It’s a make-ahead meal, so you can prep it in the morning and come home to dinner at night!👉

– Beef chuck – Celery stalks  – Yellow onion  – Potatoes  – Carrots  – Guinness beer stout or draught –White flour – Garlic finely minced *all ingredients below

STEP 1

In a bowl, add the beef pieces and lightly salt. Add in the flour and stir to coat.

STEP 2

To a frying pan, over medium heat, add olive oil. Add the flour-coated beef and cook until golden brown

STEP 3

Cook the onions, then add the diced veggies. Cook until soft - about 10 mins.

STEP 4

To the slow cooker, add the meat, the cooked veggies, and the cubed potatoes and mix well.

STEP 5

Pour in the Guinness beer and beef stock. Add thyme, bay leaves, salt and pepper. Cover and cook.
