STEP 1

In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

STEP 2

Pour in the heavy cream and stir. Form the dough into a round log. Slice the log into rounds and place on the baking sheet.

STEP 3

Sprinkle the tops of the dough with the remaining  sugar.  Bake for 15 minutes.

STEP 4

Place strawberries in a bowl and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and mash. Stir in cut strawberries. Place in the fridge.

STEP 5

To a bowl, add the heavy cream and sugar. Whisk until stiff peaks form. Cover and chill until ready to assemble.

STEP 6

Slice each shortcake in half and place on a plate. Top with strawberry sauce, whipped cream, and additional berries.
