PERSNICKETY PLATES

In a bowl, add the sugar, butter, molasses, and egg and beat on medium.

Add in the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and salt, Stir well.

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour. Preheat oven to 350 F.

Shape the dough into 1″ balls. Roll in sugar and place on a lined baking sheet.

Bake for 9-10 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
