These simple Thanksgiving Turkey Shaped Pretzel Dinner Rolls s are so easy to make and are sure to be a hit with kids and adults on your Thanksgiving table!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a silicone liner or spray with non-stick spray.
Flatten one roll and lay it on your baking sheet to make the body.
Flatten the second roll and cut off a small piece. This will be the turkey’s neck & head. Roll it into a “snake”, make a snip in the top with your kitchen scissors to create the head, and attach it to the first roll.
With the remaining piece of roll, you’re going to create the tail feathers. Make cuts with the kitchen scissors to make "feathers" and attach it to the body.
Brush the entire thing with the beaten egg, sprinkle with coarse salt, and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown, at 350 degrees.
Remove carefully and once slightly cooled, gently push in pretzels for the legs (I broke one pretzel stick in half to make two legs) and lightly press a mini chocolate chip into the head to make the eye.
Gobble Gobble!
Notes
As written, this recipe makes one turkey shaped roll. Double as necessary for your group.I prefer Rhodes Texas dinner rolls but other brands may be used.
