Crockpot Split Pea Soup is hearty and flavorful and a great way to use up leftover ham. Making split pea soup in the slow cooker makes it EASY and so good!
Add all ingredients to your slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours or until the peas are tender.

Notes
If soup thickens past your liking, you can thin it with more water or additional chicken broth.This soup freezes very well. Once cooled, portion into freezer containers and freeze. I like to reheat straight from frozen in my mini crockpot or in a saucepan on the stove. Recipe can be made with or without ham.
