28 oz canstomato sauce
½cupuncooked white rice
In a large stock pot, heat oil over medium high heat. Add beef and cook until no longer pink.
Add onion and carrots and cook until tender. About 5 minutes.
Add garlic and green cabbage and cook until cabbage begins to soften.
Pour in beef broth, tomato sauce, rice, salt and pepper and stir until combined.
Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until rice is cooked through.
When reheating, add extra broth if the rice has absorbed too much of the liquid.Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. Soup can be frozen.If making in the slow cooker, brown beef then lay all ingredients except the rice into the slow cooker and cook for 8 hours on LOW or 4 hours on HIGH. Add the uncooked rice during the last 20 minutes of cook time.
