In a large skillet, over medium high heat, saute the chopped onion until translucent.

Add in the ground beef, salt, pepper, and oregano. Brown the meat until no longer pink.

Pour in the jar of sauce. Add approximately ½ cup of water to the jar, cover and shake, then pour into the skillet.

While the sauce is cooking, to a large bowl, add the ricotta cheese, egg, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, ¼ cup of grated parmesan cheese, and salt & pepper to taste.

To the bottom of a 6 quart slow cooker, add approximately 1 ½ cups of the meat sauce.
