Instructions
Lay the chicken into the bottom of the slow cooker and season with salt and pepper.
1.5 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
In a small bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce with all other ingredients and pour over chicken in the crock pot.
1 cup BBQ sauce,
¼ cup apple cider vinegar,
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes,
¼ cup brown sugar,
2 cloves minced garlic,
salt & pepper
Cover and cook for 4-6 hours on LOW or 2-3 hours on HIGH.
Once done, shred for pulled chicken or leave whole and serve with sides.
Notes
Don’t use frozen chicken in the slow cooker—it may not heat up quickly enough to kill bacteria safely.
Cook boneless chicken on LOW for 4–6 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours; bone-in pieces may need more time.
Serve BBQ pulled chicken on a sturdy bun with sides like mac and cheese, potato salad, baked potatoes, or even zucchini skins.
Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Every slow cooker runs differently. Times given are a general recommendation and should be tested in your own slow cooker and adjusted as needed.
