Instructions
In a large glass add the wine, vodka, and fruit.
4 oz red wine,
1 oz vodka,
1/2 cup fresh berries
Refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the fruit flavors to infuse with the wine.
When ready to serve, add ice to your favorite glass & pour in the sangria.
Ice,
1/2 oz orange liqueur
Top off with soda water, if desired.
sparkling water/soda
Notes
This recipe is easily doubled or tripled - I recommend making a small pitcher for sharing!
I recommend using Merlot because of its red-fruit notes - the perfect compliment to the berries in this sangria.
If you don't like vodka, brandy or rum would work well, too.
If you like bubbly, top it off with some sparkling water or soda.
