Super simple Halloween Pretzel Rods are always a hit. Salty pretzels dipped into sweet white chocolate and then topped with festive sprinkles. Perfect for a halloween party!
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Also, pour each color of sprinkles into small bowls so they're ready to use.
To a medium microwave-safe bowl, add the candy melts and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
11 ounces white chocolate baking melts
Pour the melted chocolate into a mason jar.
Dip one pretzel rod at a time inside the mason jar, tilting and spinning the pretzel until approximately ⅔ of the pretzel is coated.
15 pretzel rods
Let any excess melted chocolate drip off the pretzel and then lay onto the parchment paper.
After the pretzels have set for 1-2 minutes, add the sprinkles. [if you add the sprinkles immediately, they will slide off]
½ cup purple sprinkles, ½ cup orange sprinkles, ½ cup green sprinkles
Repeat until out of pretzels.
Allow the decorated pretzel rods to set and dry before removing from the parchment paper.
Notes
Use any white chocolate baking chips or candy melts. Ghirardelli White Baking Chips melt smoothly and work well. Colored candy melts (like green or orange) are great if you want to skip tinting the chocolate yourself.
Let the dipped pretzel rods sit for a minute before adding sprinkles so they stick better and don’t slide off.
Add candy eyeballs for a fun, spooky look!
For a witch finger effect, color melted candy green and press a slivered almond on the tip as a “nail.”
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks.
For gifting, wrap each pretzel rod in a cellophane bag and tie with ribbon.
