Restaurant Style Chicken Fried Rice is the ultimate meal to whip up at home. Skip ordering takeout and make this easy chicken fried rice at home. Get the tender rice, perfect blend of veggies, and a little secret ingredient to toss in that adds a nice amount of flavor.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sesame oil, onions, and carrots. Saute until carrots & onions are tender.
2 Tablespoons sesame oil, 1/2 cup onion, 1/2 cup carrots
Add the peas to the pan and stir.

To a small bowl, add the eggs and whisk together with a fork.

Push the veggies to one side of the skillet and pour the eggs on the other side. Use a spatula to scramble them. Once fully cooked, stir into the veggie mixture to evenly distribute.
Add the cooked rice and chicken and stir. Mix well.
3 cups white rice, 2 cups chicken
Add the soy sauce and stir to distribute.

Notes
Jasmine is ideal, but plain white rice works just fine.
Sesame oil gives that classic takeout taste, but canola or vegetable oil are solid alternatives.
Rotisserie or pre-cooked chicken is perfect for quick prep—just chop and toss it in.
If you're short on time and don't want to dice vegetables, you can use a frozen veggie blend.
Add a bit of butter for rich, restaurant-style flavor.
