I loved Crazy Bread when I was a kid. I still love Crazy Bread, and so do my kids.

You’re going to love this copycat version of Little Caesars breadsticks because not only do they taste like the real thing, but unlike my simple garlic knots (which, I recommend you try when you’ve got a little extra time), they’re made with store-bought refrigerated pizza dough, and they still have that fresh-baked, from-scratch flavor!

They’re soft, chewy, and packed with garlicky, cheesy flavor, perfect for dunking in zesty marinara sauce. With just a handful of ingredients, they’re ready in under 30 minutes, perfect for this week’s pizza or pasta night!

Ingredients

Below is a list of the ingredients you’ll need to gather to make this recipe, why you need them, and possible substitutions. Scroll all the way down for the full recipe card with measurements.

Jump
  • Refrigerated pizza dough: A tube of dough (like Pillsbury) works fine, but if you have some extra time, I highly recommend making my easy homemade pizza dough recipe for that extra bit of homemade goodness.
  • Unsalted butter: Melted butter brushed over the dough gives it a golden brown color and helps the seasoning stick.
  • Seasoning: Garlic powder, salt, and grated Parmesan cheese. Freshly grate your Parmesan for best flavor!
  • Marinara sauce: For dipping.

Jump
  1. Step One: Roll out the dough on a clean, large cutting board. You want to roll it into a rectangle, about 9×13. Then, use a pizza cutter and slice the dough into 12 equal strips.

  1. Step Two: Place the strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, keeping them about 1 inch apart. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 7 minutes, or until golden.
  1. Step Three: While the crazy bread is in the oven, melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl, and stir in the garlic powder and salt.

How to Serve Little Caesars Breadsticks

We love to dip them in marinara sauce, but truth be told, they’re as versatile as homemade soft pretzels! You can really dip them in all kinds of sauces.

They’re great for mopping up sauces and broths, so serve them with things like like my Olive Garden homemade alfredo sauce pasta and chicken gnocchi soup, or cheesy pizza, some slow cooker pizza dip, or a pizza pasta bake and a simple side salad.

Try these variations!

  • Cheesy bread: Add freshly grated mozzarella onto each strip before baking.
  • Spicy crazy bread: Sprinkle red pepper flakes into the garlic butter for a kick.
  • Herbed breadsticks: Stir Italian seasoning or dried parsley into the melted butter.
  • Stuffed crazy bread: Add strips of string cheese into each dough strip before baking. Be sure to completely wrap the dough around the cheese.

How to store leftovers

Leftover Little Caesars Crazy Bread can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days. Be sure to keep them airtight so they don’t dry out.

If you do refrigerate them, you’ll be able to keep them fresh for a couple of extra days.

Freezing Instructions

Once completely cooled, you can store them in freezer bags, layered with parchment paper, to keep them frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight.

Reheating Instructions

Reheat them in the oven at 350°F for about 5 minutes or microwave for about 15 seconds. I like to add a bit of extra seasoned garlic butter for that freshly baked flavor!
