My mom has been making this fruit dip for as long as I can remember and, much like her pistachio poke cake, people always ask for the recipe.

Dessert dips recipes like Oreo dip, brownie batter dip, and this easy cream cheese fruit dip are great to know, especially when you need to throw together a quick, no-bake treat.

This one is made with cream cheese, marshmallow creme, and marichino cherry juice for added sweetness and a pink hue. It comes together in minutes and stays chilled until you’re ready to serve it. That’s it!

Present it beautifully on a platter full of seasoning fresh fruit, your favorite cookies, and a variety of dippers and it’s a simple way to impress a crowd on any occasion!

Jump
  • Cream cheese – Bring your cream cheese to room temperature so it will mix smoothly. I use regular cream cheese, but reduced fat will work as well.
  • Marshmallow creme – This gives the dip a light and fluffy consistency, since cream cheese is quite thick. It also makes it sweet! Marshmallow fluff can also be used, it’s just a bit fluffier.
  • Cherry juice – Maraschino cherry juice from a jar of maraschino cherries is much sweeter than real cherry juice and lighter in color. You can even use a couple of the cherries for garnish if you’d like.

How to serve it

There are so many things you can use to scoop up this delicious dip!

You have to have a colorful assortment of fresh fruit, especially in the summertime! Things like fresh strawberries, pineapple slices, apple slices, grapes, bananas, blueberries, kiwi, etc. It’s a treat for the eyes too 🙂

Cookies like graham crackers, Oreo cookies, Nilla wafers, and animal crackers are great too. And for that sweet and salty kick, pretzel sticks are a must.

  • Did you know you can also use this dip as a frosting for pound cake or angel food cake?
  • For something a little different, swap the cherry juice for vanilla extract or orange juice.
  • If you plan to serve this dip just after you make it, skip the microwave step. Instead, take the cream cheese out about 40 minutes before you begin to ensure it’s soft enough to blend.
  • The cherry juice is optional. This easy fruit dip can be made with just cream cheese and marshmallow creme.
  • Or, you can add a bit more for even more cherry flavor and extra color!

How to store leftovers

Leftovers can be kept covered in the fridge for up to 7 days. The sugar and preservatives help keep the cream cheese fresh.
