Some recipes involve melting chocolate or gelatin in the microwave, using the stove to melt marshmallows, and even using the crockpot to make fudge or avalanche cookies. So, if you’re concerned about safety, this may be the part of the recipe you take over.
Can I make no bake treats ahead of time? How long do they stay fresh?
You’ll find treats that last for a few days and some that last for weeks. Recipe depending, you’ll find some of them need to be refrigerated and some that don’t. Because they stay fresh for a while, they are naturally a great option for making ahead.
Can I freeze no-bake treats for later?
Sure you can! There are some that might require a flash freeze to ensure they don’t all freeze in one giant clump, but otherwise, they’re good to keep frozen for months.
What’s the best way to package no bake treats for gifts?
Cellophane wrapping is always a popular idea. It’s clear so you can see what’s inside, and when you attach a ribbon and a gift tag to it, it’s super cute. You can also use gift boxes or cookie tins. If you’re stacking your easy Christmas no-bake treats, layer them with parchment paper to keep them separate.
