I look forward to writing this post every year. Normally, I do the top 10 NEW posts from the year. New ones I published in 2018.
BUT, 2018 was a doozy and I didn’t publish nearly as many new posts as I had hoped to.
Two small girls and two major surgeries (along with much other “life”) threw me off my game.
I’m honestly ready to tell 2018 to kick rocks.
For that reason, I’m going to give you the TOP 10 OVERALL RECIPES FOR 2018.
Before we get started, WHILE I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, I’m doing my second annual Reader Survey. Reading the answers last year was really helpful to me so it would make me very happy if you filled it out this year. (Plus, I’m going to pick a random winner to receive an Amazon gift card for filling it out!) So, here it is >> 2019 READER SURVEY
TOP 10 POSTS OF 2018
Going backwards, the most popular are…
#10 – Old Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies – I first published these cookies in November of 2014, but they consistently do pretty well. It’s a great recipe, so I know why! The video on Facebook also gets shared quite a bit. Do you prefer iced or un-iced?
#9 – Zucchini Boat Turkey Tacos – A great recipe to ring in the new year with since it’s low carb and fairly healthy, these turkey taco boats are a year round favorite in our house.
#8 – Buffalo Cauliflower – This recipe is old but it’s been pinned over 600,000 times! Buffalo Cauliflower is a great meatless alternative to buffalo wings for parties and game days.
#7 – Slow Cooker Cinnamon Sugar Candied Almonds – These almonds always get a boost around the holidays but they make a great snack any time. They’re also great to bag up as gifts. Or to just make your house smell amazing while they’re cooking!
#6 – Better than Box Mix Brownies – My favorite “family size” brownie recipe, these from scratch brownies really are better than the box. Plus, they’re really easy & you probably have all the ingredients on hand!
#5 – One Dish Ranch Chicken Veggie Bake – Another fairly healthy recipe for the new year, I love this dinner because you get a protein, a starch, and a veggie all in one pan. I make it often.
#4 – Halloween Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies – These brownies are so popular around Halloween. I suppose I should make some variations for other holidays… Skip the orange food coloring and make them any time of year.
#3 – TGI Friday’s Jack Daniels Sauce – I love this sauce! If you’ve liked it at Friday’s, you’ll love this copycat version because it tastes just like it. It goes well on everything!
#2 – Easter Egg Fruit Pizza – Another seasonal favorite that you could make anytime of year, just don’t cut the sugar cookie base into the shape of an egg 🙂
#1 – Crock Pot Honey Bourbon Chicken – And the reigning champ, this popular slow cooker chicken dinner has been pinned over 250,000 times and has great reviews. But no, there’s no actual bourbon in it!
